On the road climbing to Hell-Bourg, several streams tumble in successive falls down a lush rock wall before reaching the Rivière du Mât. You view it from a small roadside parking area on the RD48, in the heart of the Salazie cirque.
The best view is a few steps from the car park; do not try to climb to the foot of the falls, which is exposed to rockfall. After heavy rain the flow is spectacular, but the road may then be closed or hazardous. Parking spaces are few: never stop on the bends.
