Above Hell-Bourg, the Trou Blanc canyon is one of the great classics of the Salazie cirque: very aquatic, it links abseils, slides and optional jumps in crystal-clear water. A sporty day out to do with a state-qualified instructor.
From age 14 with Envergure Réunion; you must swim and be physically fit. Meet in front of the Hell-Bourg bakery, trip of about 6 h. Bring a swimsuit, closed shoes, 1 L of water and a packed lunch. Never go on your own; trips are cancelled in rainy weather (flash floods).
