Between Salazie and Hell-Bourg, this small wind-sheltered freshwater pond mirrors the green cliffs of the cirque. A Creole legend tells of an abandoned woman who wept there until she turned into a moorhen, hence its name.
A short path from the road leads to the banks and a few benches; it gets muddy after rain. It is not a designated swimming spot. Easy to combine with nearby Hell-Bourg.
