At the end of the road up the Marsouins river valley, this viewpoint looks down into an amphitheatre of green cliffs streaked with waterfalls. The valley, among the wettest on the island, also hosts hydroelectric facilities.
Clouds and rain come in fast: aim for early morning. The access road is narrow near the end. The falls are fuller after rain, but do not take the paths down to the river in wet weather.
