This coastal path runs along the black basalt cliffs of Cap Méchant, battered by the swell of the wild south, in the shade of casuarina and screw pine trees. Almost flat, it leads from Cap Mascarin to the outskirts of Le Baril, with picnic areas facing the ocean.

Swimming in the sea is forbidden and very dangerous here: keep well back from the cliff edges, especially in heavy swell. The Puits des Anglais and its sea-water pool are about 700 m east of Le Baril if you want to go further.
