Sights · L'Étang-Salé
In the black basalt cliff, a narrow cleft funnels the incoming waves, which burst into plumes of spray. It is a striking sight in a southern swell, just steps from a car park.
Stay behind the wooden barriers at all times: waves can surge well above the edge and the rocks are slippery. No swimming whatsoever. A coastal path runs from the car park towards the Étang du Gol if you want a longer walk.
