From the heights of Entre-Deux, a forest path climbs to the Dimitile plateau, an important place in the memory of escaped slaves (marronnage), returning by an easier track. The viewpoints at the top look straight down into the Cilaos cirque.

Start early: the plateau is often covered in cloud by late morning. The climb can be slippery after rain. The short path to the viewing table has sometimes been signed as closed: follow the signs on site.
